When I came home I will be the first one to admit the accident ruined my first marriage. My ex-wife would have to drive me to all these surgeries, the IWK and back and forth it took its toll and I fought not that I was inheritably an asshole, but it was very difficult to keep a positive outlook on life when you have surgery after surgery after surgery. I became agoraphobic. I didn’t leave the house for three years. Three whole years. Even brushing my teeth was a task. And go to the gym, you know what I mean? For me being into that world I didn’t go train, I didn’t do anything. So it led to where it was difficult and I feel sorry for my ex-wife. I love her to death, she’s still a good friend. The only good thing that happened from that tour was that my son was born. He was born a year later. So everything for a reason, right?
