Érigé au nom de la filiale no 110 de la Légion royale canadienne, ce mémorial est dédié aux citoyens de la localité morts durant les Première et Seconde Guerres mondiales et la guerre de Corée. Il a été érigé par un groupe d’anciens combattants membres de la Légion royale canadienne. Pour couler la plaque de ciment, ils ont emprunté un malaxeur à ciment, ont acheté du ciment et se sont fait donner du gravier et du sable, et ils ont travaillé très fort. Il ne reste plus qu’un membre de ce groupe encore vivant, et il estime que le cénotaphe lui-même a coûté entre 3 500 $ et 8 500 $. Le mémorial a été consacré par un curé de l’endroit en 1976. D’après nos estimations, il pèse environ 20 000 livres.
