No Stone Left Alone National Remembrance Ceremony
Each year across Canada and beyond, students engage in personal, hands-on acts of remembrance through NSLA ceremonies in their own communities.
The Loyal Edmonton Regiment Military Museum will be open to the public on November 11 from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
There will be a Remembrance ceremony observed at 11.00 a.m.
The museum galleries will be open to explore, and family friendly activities will be available throughout the day. You can also enjoy performances from the Edmonton Heritage Community Band.
Limited free parking spaces available outside the Prince of Wales Armouries. Admission is free, donations are always welcome.

Ghosts of Ortona: Reckoning with the Traumas of Canadian World War II Veterans
The book has deep roots in Edmonton: Cosh began interviewing veterans of the Loyal Edmonton Regiment here more than twenty-five years ago, and their stories became central to the book. He'll talk about those encounters, the research and writing of Ghosts of Ortona, and what he learned from returning to these stories many years later, followed by a brief reading and plenty of time for questions and discussion.
The Ukrainian Pioneers Association is unveiling a new exhibit commemorating the sacrifices made by Ukrainian-Albertan soldiers in wartime.
Light refreshments will be served.
On Nov. 11, gather at The Military Museums to remember those who served and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The annual outdoor Remembrance Day ceremony brings together Veterans, serving Canadian Armed Forces members, military families and the Calgary community for a morning of remembrance and reflection. The ceremony will include the Last Post, two minutes of silence, the Act of Remembrance, wreath laying and remarks from invited guests.
Gates open: 9 a.m.
Ceremony begins: 10:45 a.m.
Moment of silence: 11 a.m.
Join us for the Major David Peabody Memorial Walk & Ruck as we honour the life and legacy of Major David Peabody, former director of The Military Museums, who died in December 2024. This event both commemorates his life and achievements as a soldier, leader, and historical education advocate. It will offer both civilian and military personnel an opportunity to take part in rucking (or walking without weight) within the grounds of The Military Museums in a 1-km loop while enjoying the sights of historical military vehicles, artifacts, and good company.
