Ce mémorial érigé par l`église "Church of St John the Evangelist" et dévoilé le 25 février 1951 est dédié aux membre de l'église mort durant la Première Guerre mondiale. Ce mémorial est constitué de deux panneaux de bois côte-à-côte, et séparés par une cadre de bois.

Cette plaque commémorative est dédiée à la mémoire du Lieutenant-colonel William White (6 janvier 1830 – 2 avril 1911), C.M.G.

William White, fonctionnaire canadien, né à Londres, en Angleterre. Après des études à la Burlington House School, à Hammersmith, il entre à la fonction publique anglaise en 1846, mais donne sa démission en 1854. La même année, il vient à Ottawa et entre au ministère des Postes canadien. Il en devient le secrétaire en 1861 et est nommé ministre des Postes adjoint en juillet 1888, poste qu’il occupe jusqu’à sa retraite, en juin 1897.

Le Lcol White était aussi soldat. En 1859, il s’enrôle dans la Milice canadienne et, par la suite, il sert dans le 3e Bataillon, Toronto Militia, le Civil Service Rifle Regiment, le Governor General's Foot Guards et le 43rd Duke of Cornwall's Own Rifles.

Plaque érigée par les infirmières du Canada en souvenir de leurs sœurs qui ont donné leur vie au cours de la Grande Guerre de 1914-1918 et pour perpétuer une noble tradition dans les relations entre l'ancien monde et le nouveau. Guidée au-delà des mers par un sentiment d'humanité, la femme, par les soins qu'elle a prodigués à ceux qui étaient dans le besoin, a donné au monde l'exemple d'un dévouement héroïque embrassant trois siècles d'histoire canadienne.

Le Monument à la mémoire des infirmières en forme de plaque sculpté fut dévoilé le 24 août 1926, et fut érigé par les infirmières du Canada en souvenir de leurs sœurs qui ont donné leur vie au cours de la Grande Guerre et pour perpétuer une noble tradition dans les relations entre l'ancien monde et le nouveau. Cette arche commémorative intitulée «The Tunnellers' Friends» représente les animaux qui ont servi la patrie pendant la guerre : les rennes, les mules, les pigeons voyageurs, les chevaux, les chiens, les canaris et les souris. Le mémorial fut créé par l`artiste John A. Pearson, le sculpteur/Ouvrier sculpteur Cléophas Soucy en 1927.

On 11 June 1914, a replica of the Remembrance and Renewal was unveiled in front of the Memorial Classroom Building. 330 Appleby alumni served during the Second World War, 20 of whom lost their lives. 

The memorial was sculpted by Canadian Colin Gibson and donated by Appleby parents Graeme and Sara Thomson. The work is a scaled down replica of the sculpture Juno Beach Centre in Normandy, France, created by Gibson. It has stood outside the since 2003 to remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who served to protect freedom.

The sculpture stands about six feet and features five Second World War soldiers. It commemorates not only the Canadians who fought during the first day of the Allied invasion of occupied France on June 6, 1944, but all who serve their countries, communities, families and Appleby. The sculpture is part of Appleby College’s Memorial Classroom Building Renovation Project. 

The sculpture features five military figures in a circular formation looking outward, into the distance. The figures undulate into one another, accentuating the unity and comradeship of those who served Canada at home and abroad. The figures reflect different emotions - one figure depicts leadership, another vigour and alertness, while still another looks somber and reflective. A fourth figure is stepping forward to assist a comrade. Their chiseled features express determination and bravery. The broad shoulders symbolize the heavy weight of responsibility that each man had to bear during this struggle. The figures and features convey that much time has passed since the war, and that modern-day memories of it are fading away as the survivors go to rejoin their comrades in arms.
