Project activities:

  • Develop online programs (missions) to help Veterans, family members, and supporters improve their health and quality of life through regular physical activity, healthy eating, weight management, stress management, better sleep, heart health, strength training, and family health (including the family pet);
  • Track changes in physical and mental health metrics among individuals who complete each mission; and
  • Identify which participant behaviours and web-site features are associated with improvements in health metrics.

Project results:

The Canadian Veterans AgeWell Challenge resulted in the development of 34 online Missions available in both official languages. Over 1600 Veterans and family members participated in various missions positively impacting healthy lifestyle habits in an online health promotion community.
