2020 VAC National Survey

VAC is conducting the 2020 VAC National Survey from January 2020 to March 2020. You may receive a phone call from Forum Research Inc. asking about your satisfaction with VAC’s benefits and services. Participation in this survey is voluntary and confidential.

We remind you that we will never ask you to provide your Social Insurance Number over the phone. If a caller requests your SIN, we urge you to not disclose the information and end the call.

Regina Area Office – Temporary Office Closure, December 2019

Due to water damage, the Regina Area Office located at 1783 Hamilton Street, Suite 108, Alvin Hamilton Building, Regina, Saskatchewan is temporarily closed until this issue has been rectified. VAC is continuing to serve Veterans in a temporary office located in the same building from 8:30-4:00 p.m.

Class action regarding calculation of (SISIP) Long Term Disability benefits

The Federal Court has certified Simon Logan v. Her Majesty The Queen as a class action. The Federal Court has defined the Class as follows:

All former members of the Canadian Armed Forces who on or after July 17, 2012, received long term disability benefits and/or dismemberment benefits under Division 2, Part III(B) of SISIP Policy 901102, and had an allowance from the Canadian Armed Forces in effect on the date of their release from the Canadian Armed Forces or, in the case of a Class "C" member, when the injury was incurred or the illness was contracted.

All class members have the right to participate in the class action. You are automatically included in the class action unless you opt-out of participating. Your opt-out form must be received no later than 28 January 2020.

CAF/DND Sexual Misconduct Class Action

The Federal Court approved a settlement to compensate former and current CAF members, DND employees and Staff of Non-Public Funds affected by sexual misconduct.
