Invictus Games Team Canada manager discusses the athletes' courage before Sydney

Transcript
[Natacha]: Hi, I am Natacha Dupuis, Veterans Affairs correspondent for the Invictus Games. And here we have Joe Kelly, my good friend. How are you? [Joe]: It’s nice too see you, Nat. I am fantastic. Thanks for being here today. [Natacha]: Yes. So how does it feel for the team to be announced? [Joe]: It’s so exciting. This represents, as you well know, a lot of hard work and a lot of courage and a lot of ups and downs to get to this point. So, to have it announced to the world and to Canada is amazing for all of the athletes but it’s really cool for me too, as a team manager. [Natacha]: Yes, and as a team manager for this year, what are you most looking for? [Joe]: Oh, my goodness! I triumph and my heart soars with every little triumph that these men and women make on a daily basis. And for me it’s not about the results at the games. It’s about all those little triumphs there. And then helping them set up a plan for after the games. To have an active, healthy, happy lifestyle after. [Natacha]: That’s right. We wish you good luck on this journey and on behalf of VAC: good luck! [Joe]:Thanks to everybody at VAC for the support. Go Canada go! A message from the Government of Canada.
