An appendix to the battalion war diary for January 1918 records that he was awarded the Military Cross for his actions during the Passchendaele operations. The award was published in the Supplement to The London Gazette Issue 30507 of 1 February 1918 and the citation was published in The London Gazette
Issue 30780 of 2 July 1918:-
"Lt. Arthur Rubin Kilborn, Infy.
For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He led his platoon to the final objective in an attack. He succeeded in beating off a counter-attack, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy. His excellent reports and reconnaissances made it possible to deal effectively with enemy concentrations during the following days."

An appendix to the battalion war diary for October 1918 records that he was awarded the DSO for his actions during the Amiens operations and the citation was published in The London Gazette issue 31043 of 29 November 1918:
"Lt. Arthur Rubin Kilborn, M.C., M.M., 78th Bn., Can. Infy., Manitoba R.
For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty as scout officer during four days' operations. Under heavy fire he maintained liaison between the companies and battalion headquarters, his accurate information enabling the positions to be readjusted in the face of obstinate resistance. When the left of the attack was threatened he collected some details, and fearlessly exposing himself, shot two officers at close quarters and restored the situation."

CIMETIÈRE DE QUARRY WOOD Pas de Calais, France
Sains-les-Marquion est un village situé à 12 kilomètres environ au nord-ouest de Cambrai et à 2 kilomètres au sud de la route d'Arras à Cambrai (D939).
Le cimetière se trouve à 2 kilomètres environ du village, à gauche de la route D15 en direction de Havrincourt, au bout d'un chemin.
