Flight Sergeant Charles Harold Bell
Image of B. Diane Bell, daughter of Charles H. Bell. She was 3 months old when he father was killed and never met him. This photo was taken on VE Day. My mother died in 1996 and I give permission for her photo to be used (I believe she would have wanted this as well). I feel her photo belongs here because it shows the huge cost of war. This little girl grew up never knowing her father. His last letter home talked about how happy he was to have a daughter and how much he loved her name. He had a baby photo of her with him when he died.
