On November 11th, 2002 a Canadian Embassy delegation attended the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Dely Ibrahim Cemetery in Algiers, Algeria. Officials of Commonwealth country embassies with representation in Algiers, as well as the American Embassy, laid wreaths at the cenotaph at the cemetery. The ceremony was
organised by the British Embassy. At the end of the ceremony, the German Ambassador invited all participants to join him in a short solemn ceremony and wreath laying at the German cenotaph, adjacent to the Commonwealth cemetery.

This picture was taken in Scotland when David was approx 19-20. He had taken time to visit his mothers birthplace while he was stationed in England.

CIMETIÈRE DE GUERRE DE DELY IBRAHIM Algérie
Le cimetière de guerre de Dely Ibrahim se trouve sur le flanc de la colline, à 500 mètres environ du village de Dely Ibrahim. Le village est situé dans une région vallonnée à quelque 10 kilomètres au sud-ouest d'Alger, sur la route de Blida.
Veuillez noter : Malheureusement, il est impossible de garder une copie du registre dans le cimetière. Vous pouvez obtenir de l'aide auprès du personnel lorsqu'il est en service.
