Capitaine d'aviation Louis Roméo Dubuc
Sgt. Dubuc was born in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He began flying at the age of 19. Sgt. Dubuc received a special gold medal from his hometown for being the first person born in that town to get a pilot’s license and to land an airplane in town. Prior to joining the RCMP he was a grounds crew person with a commercial airways service. When the RCMP formed its Aviation Section in 1937, he became one of its first members. Sgt. Dubuc was married to Margaret. He is buried in Newry, N. Ireland.<P>
