Son of John Morton and Charlotte G. Brady of Ottawa, Ontario. Brother of George, Ruby, Minne, John, Amy and Kathleen. Corporal Brady, killed while a member of No. 6 Company. 43rd Battalion,Ottawa and Carleton Rifles. For several years he had been a sergeant in that company and was a thorough soldier, and good rifle shot. His brother, George Morton Brady was employed in No. 8 Fire Station. Corporal Brady acquired his trade in Ottawa and has lived in this city for the greater part of his life. For a couple of months previous to enlisting he was employed in Montreal and was at the depot when the train bearing the Ottawa company passed through. Many of his old comrades were on board and he could not resist the temptation to enlist.
