Gunner John Moore, was the son of T.T. Moore, Principal of the Acton High School and brother of Mrs. Bert McKerchen of Toronto, Ontario. He was employed in Storey's glove factory in that place when he enlisted with the Guelph detachment of the artillery. He was considered a first-class workman and was a general favourite in the town.
