Flight Sergeant Donald Harvey Culverson
F.Sgt. Culverson was serving in 166 (RAF) Squadron as Air Gunner on Lancaster PD 260. The aircraft was on a raid to Brunswick, Germany the night of August 12/13, 1944. As an experiment on this raid, no Pathfinder aircraft took part and there was no marking. The result was there was no concentration of bombing. There was a heavy loss of a total of 242 Lancasters and 137 Halifaxes. 17 Lancasters and 10 Halifaxes were lost, or 7.1 per cent of the force. [www.raf.mod.uk/]

WO2 (P) Lawrence W. Davies, age 21, from Hill Spring, AB;
F/O (N) W. Reginald Smith, age 23, from Montreal, Que.;
F.Sgt. (BA) Harold E. Squibb, age 22, from Duncan, B. C.;
F.Sgt. (AG) Robert J. Sinclair, age 25, from Richmond, Quebec; and two RAF crew: Sgt. (WAG) H. Bodger, age 22, and Sgt. (FE) H. E. Arbon, age 19.

CIMETIÈRE DE GUERRE DE HANOVRE Allemagne
On se rend au cimetière militaire de Hanovre, qui jouxte le cimetière de guerre de Hanovre, en empruntant l'autoroute A2 E30 qui va de Dortmund à Berlin. À l'intersection avec la B441, tournez à droite sur la B441 et suivez les panneaux indiquant Hanovre, Ahlem et Seelze. Après avoir fait 7 kilomètres, tournez à droite sur la Seelzestrasse en direction de Harenburg. Après avoir fait 5 kilomètres et être entré dans Harenburg, tournez à gauche sur la Harenberger Miele. Au sortir de Harenburg, vous vous dirigerez vers Hanovre. Le cimetière militaire et le cimetière de guerre de Hanovre se trouvent à 3 kilomètres.
