Sous-officier breveté de 1re classe James Brown Fowler
Fowler, James Brown - Warrant Officer, Class I. Born 8th February, 1911, at Bothwell, Scotland. Educated at Langside School and Queens Park Secondary School, Glasgow. Entered the service of the Bank 30th April, 1929. Served at Totonto city branches and others in Ontario. Enlisted 8th November, 1941, from Parliament & Carlton (Toronto) in R.C.A.F. Sergeant 3rd November, 1942; Flight Sergeant and Warrant Officer, Class II, in October, 1943; Warrant Officer, Class I, in February, 1944. Trained at Gananoque, Ont., and Ancienne Lorette, Que. Overseas in November, 1942. Attached R.A.F., Bomber Command. Killed over North Sea while returning from a bombing raid over Berlin 16th February, 1944. His body was subsequently recovered and buried in Blantyre Cemetery, Lanarkshire, Scotland. <br><i>From a memorial booklet prepared by the Canadian Bank of Commerce.</i>
