Caporal Franklin Palmer Jackes
The Soldiers' Tower was built at University of Toronto between 1919-1924 in memory of those lost to the University in the Great War. Funds were raised by the Alumni Federation (now called the University of Toronto Alumni Association.) The name of "Cpl F. P. JACKES 7th C.R.T." is among the 628 names carved on the Memorial Screen, seen at photo left. Photo: K. Parks, Alumni Relations.

Inscription in Memorial Room, Soldiers' Tower. The carillon was installed and dedicated in 1927. Originally there were 23 bells. Alumni and friends donated funds for bells in memory of those who fell in the Great War. Dedications are carved high on the walls of the Memorial Room. Bell XXI is dedicated: " 'Extol, ye bell, the virtue of our valorous men.' Alumni Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering".

ANNEXE DU CIMETIÈRE COMMUNAL DE LILLERS Pas de Calais, France
Lillers est une petite ville située à environ 15 kilomètres au ouest-nord-ouest de Bethune et l'annexe du cimetière communal de Lillers se trouve au nord de la ville. À partir de la mairie située au centre de la ville, il faut se diriger vers le nord sur la D182 et parcourir 500 mètres. Puis, on doit effectuer un virage à droite pour emprunter la rue St-Venant. Le cimetière se trouve à 200 mètres de là sur le côté gauche de la route. C'est à l'extrémité du lot communal qu'on retrouve les inhumations du Commonwealth.
