He was the son of Mr and Mrs Hedleigh Bond of Toronto; husband of Janet C Bond of 10 Mackenzie Avenue Toronto. He died on Aug 15, 1917 at 25 years of age. He was buried in Quatre Vents Military Cemetery Estree Cauchy, France. As an ex-cadet, he is named on the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada.

CIMETIÈRE MILITAIRE DES QUATRE-VENTS Pas de Calais, France
Les Quatre-Vents est un hameau situé à 2 kilomètres environ au sud-est d'Estrée-Cauchy, un village et une commune situé à 16 kilomètres au nord-ouest d'Arras, sur l'ancienne route romaine menant à Thérouanne. Cette route fait maintenant partie de la route principale allant d'Arras à Boulogne en passant par Thérouanne.
