Al Bacon

Mr. Bacon is a Veteran of the Second World War having served with the Norwegian Merchant Marine and the Canadian Army. A natural born storyteller, he has continued to serve his country through his dedication to keeping alive the memory of Veterans. He tells their story, intent on preserving history. Mr. Bacon played a key role in the establishment of the Little Norway Memorial at the Muskoka Airport. He has even acted as a tour guide of the memorial. Mr. Bacon has been instrumental in aiding Veterans and their families in obtaining medals that were not granted. Mr. Bacon is currently heading the Lost Airmen of Muskoka project which is attempting to recover several Norwegian planes lost in the Muskoka lakes during training and in collisions.
