Arthur Adams

Mr. Adams is a Veteran of the Second World War whose final tour of operations was on the Burma front. For the past 50 years, Mr. Adams has been Chairman of the 435-436 Burma Squadrons Association. More recently, he has served as Honorary Colonel of 436 Squadron. His enthusiasm and leadership have kept members closely together over the years. Mr. Adams has amassed an impressive collection of wartime artefacts and photographs. A number of his mementos are on display at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. Mr. Adams is involved with 117 Wing of the Air Force Association and is an active volunteer and supporter of the Canadian War Plane Heritage Museum. In particular, Mr. Adams is involved with the Dakota aircraft which is flown at air shows across Ontario and beyond. Due to Mr. Adams' influence, the Dakota flaunts the colours and informs Canadians about the Air Force's contribution in Burma during the Second World War. Mr. Adams belongs to other service organizations where he takes every opportunity to promote inviting a Veteran to speak at luncheons and meetings about the importance of remembrance.
