C. George Ing CD

Mr. C. George Ing is a 33 year Veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force retiring at the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Since his retirement, he has been involved as a member, Director, Vice President and President of Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS) Pacific Unit 280. Mr. Ing is also an active member and the current Vice President of the Chinese Canadian Military Museum Society. He represents the Unit annually at the Richmond Asian Heritage Month events at the main library, bringing along displays and artifacts from the museum. His goal is to continue to preserve the stories and legacy of Chinese Canadian Veterans.

Mr. Ing supports ANAVETS by volunteering to drive Veterans to various activities and events that honour their service to Canada. He organizes and coordinates Veteran participation at CFB Esquimalt’s annual Asian Heritage Month celebrations. As well, he liaises with members of the British Columbia Legislative Assembly for tours, meetings and luncheons for the Veterans. Mr. Ing’s dedication and devotion to Veterans is remarkable, and he is considered a champion for Veterans.
