Captain Robyn Christina Dwyer

Captain Robyn Dwyer is nominated for her work in honoring Veterans as well as her work with the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps in High Level.

For the past 17 years, Capt Dwyer has been an active member of the Cadet Instructor Cadre and spent 10 years as a Commanding Officer. She has helped fundraise and organize two battlefield tours in Europe for her cadets with a focus on the Canadian efforts during both World Wars. In addition to her work with the cadets, she actively organizes the local Remembrance Day ceremony. For the past 4 years she was also involved with the No Stone Left Alone Campaign, ensuring that all deceased Veterans in the area continue to be honoured during Remembrance Day.

She was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #274 before its permanent closure in 2012. Following the disbandment of the branch, she remained involved with the RCL, ensuring that the town of High Level continued to participate in the Poppy Campaign as well as the Remembrance Day ceremony. She also sits on the Remembrance Banner Committee with the Town of High Level, which is a new initiative with the town that creates banners honouring the local Veterans of all past and current conflicts.
