Chief Warrant Officer (Retired), Earl Kish CD

Chief Warrant Officer (Retired) Earl Kish retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in 1983 after 30 years of service. He is nominated for his service with The Royal Canadian Legion. As of 2020, he has been a member of the Legion for of 53 years.

He has served in many executive positions including: Branch President, Deputy and Zone Commander, Deputy and District Commander, Ontario Provincial Vice President, Ontario Provincial 1st Vice President, Ontario Provincial Command President and two terms as Dominion Vice President. During his time at the Dominion level, he served on the Sports, Membership, and Public Relationships Committees and continues to serve his branch at the age of 85.

CWO Kish is presently the long-term care advisor for Ontario Command RCL and Vice Chairman of the Veterans Service/Seniors Homeless Veterans Committee. In this role, he advocates for changes and improvements to national and provincial regulations related to access for long-term beds for Veterans.

Beyond the Legion, he has served as President and Chairman for Legion Villa, a long-term care facility for Veterans in Kingston, Ontario and President of the national Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Association.
