Donald Matthews is a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. He is nominated for his service with the Air Force Association of Canada 783 (Calgary Wing). He is a longtime member of 783 Wing and currently sits as the Honourary President.
He frequently assists by working on and emceeing ceremonies for the wing and is in great demand as a guest speaker and reviewing officer for the cadets.
Following retirement, he became heavily involved in creating the Air Force Museum of Alberta and is the Chairman. He “delights in” trying new things and has moved forward with things such as the drone program and virtual reality items catered to teach young people about the RCAF.
