Isabelle Lussier Linteau

Nicolet, Quebec

Since her retirement from the Canadian Armed Forces, Isabelle Lussier Linteau has shown remarkable dedication, working daily to assist her Veteran peers. She helps Veterans and their spouses find meaningful jobs. She visits Veterans at home and in hospital, responding to their needs and providing comfort. She has helped over 200 Veterans complete paperwork to receive pensions and benefits. She has also hosted struggling Veterans in her own home while helping to find them more permanent lodging. As soon as Isabelle is contacted by a Veteran, she makes herself available to them, providing incredible service and dedication.

Isabelle has helped Veterans search for meaningful jobs. Using her NATO experience, she has helped them complete applications for civilian jobs with the organization. She assists them with resume development, teaches them about the hiring process and has also worked to find jobs for their spouses.

Isabelle also helps find lodging for Veterans. In the event of delays, she has also hosted Veterans who are struggling financially until a suitable space becomes available.

On many occasions, she has accompanied Veterans to medical appointments and to therapy sessions. She assists Veterans with insurance claims for medical bills and prescriptions. She also accompanies Veterans to pick up medications and helps explain how to administer them properly.

Isabelle has helped over 200 Veterans with their paperwork to receive pensions and benefits from Veterans Affairs Canada. She has also helped many Veterans to apply for their Veterans’ license plates.

When there is a Veteran in need, Isabelle visits them and helps in any way she can. Many times, she has visited sick and dying Veterans in the hospital to offer company and comfort.

Isabelle has also shown her dedication through The Royal Canadian Legion branch 35 in Trois-Rivières as an assistant to the service officer in 2019 and 2020 and through the Royal 22nd Regimental Association, as president of the Amiens section, the only female president within the association.
