Jean-Guy Bonneau, CD has been a member of Royal 22nd Regiment Veterans Association for over 30 years and has served as the president of the association since 2004. Over the years, he has initiated many important projects for the association, has overseen regular donations to the Saint-Anne-de-Bellevue Veterans Hospital and has given support to homeless Veterans in the greater Montreal region.
During the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Royal 22nd Regiment in 2014, his “leadership, commitment and tenacity” were essential in unveiling the regimental monument in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
He organizes the annual CFB Montreal golf tournament and sits as the secretary on the Board of Directors of the General Vanier Foundation of the Royal 22nd Regiment.
Mr. Bonneau is also an active member with The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 79 Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. He volunteers with the Poppy Campaign, annual commemorative ceremonies, the food bank, Operation Red Nose and more.
