Mychèle Amberg

Mrs. Amberg, who is the mother of two successful young adults, has been a devoted volunteer at Ste. Anne's Hospital since 1987, when she responded to an invitation from the Hospital's Padre to visit the facility. Past President of the Board of Volunteer Services, she continues to serve on the Board and her analytical skills, good judgment and diplomacy are highly regarded. She serves on various committees including the Multidisciplinary Committee on End-of-life Care. Mrs. Amberg also spends time visiting with Veterans in their rooms, her warmth and compassion are clearly evident on these occasions. She also participates in events at the Hospital planned by Volunteer Services. Mrs. Amberg helped to establish the Ste. Anne=s Hospital Foundation. She became a co-founding member with two other members and continues to serve the Foundation as a board director. As further evidence of her dedication to Veterans, Mrs. Amberg was presented with the Caring Canadian Award in 1996.
