Yves Boucher

Trois-Rivières, Quebec

Yves Boucher occupies many important roles within organizations dedicated to the lives of Veterans. He is co-founder of the recently established Vétérans Nouvelle Génération Canada, long time vice president with The Royal Canadian Legion branch 204 and vice president of the Mauricie region of The Royal Canadian Legion. He has also served as president of the Mauricie Veterans Foundation since its creation over eight years ago. Yves Boucher started Thunder Ride Trois-Rivières and works with Artisans for Peace, Guitars for Vets and was  vice president of the Mauricie Region of Veterans UN/NATO Canada. 

Yves Boucher is a proud co-founder of Vétérans Nouvelle Génération Canada, a recently established group with the goal of connecting all Veterans and serving military members in a positive, supportive and understanding environment. 

He has been 1st  vice president of The Royal Canadian Legion branch 204 for almost seven years and is currently vice president of the Mauricie region of The Royal Canadian Legion. He has also served

 as branch service officer with the Legion and instigated Operation VetBuild for his branch.

Since its creation eight years ago, Yves has been president of the Mauricie Veterans Foundation, a charitable organization set up as the first line of assistance to Veterans, lending an immediate hand while helping to connect them to other organizations. 

Perhaps his greatest accomplishment is starting Thunder Ride Trois-Rivières. Now in its seventh year, this ride to honour Veterans has grown each year to more than 250 motorbikes participating in the parade in 2022 and many more people joining for the day’s other events. Thunder Ride is presently raising money to erect a monument to honour Veterans who served in Afghanistan. 

Yves is also involved with Artisans of Peace, Guitars for Veterans and formally served as vice president of the Mauricie region of Veterans UN/NATO Canada.
