  • Photo of Leo Reginald Thibaudeau– Leo was the youngest of six brothers. Five of his brothers served in the Canadian Armed Forces in World War II and Leo was the only one to lose his life.
Leo was a great entertainer and pleased many people with his bright attitude, piano playing and singing. He was last seen by his brothers in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the year of his death. Leo visited his brothers while they were waiting for their convoy to form up. As his usual, he played the piano and sang for the shipmates of his brothers. Leo was a rear gunner and died from wound infection from shrapnel.
He is buried in the family plot in the town where he was born and raised, Macklin, Saskatchewan.
