Dean and Gailynne were married on 18 March 2000. On 1 October 2004, Dean suffered a traumatic brain injury. He suffers from memory loss and doesn’t remember much of his wedding day. Athlete Pedro Ibaceta-Carter has worn the colours of the Canadian Armed Forces. Now he sports the red and white of Team Canada for the 2018 Invictus Games. Both uniforms instill incomparable pride.
