John Brown Coubrough, photo taken about 1917, possibly in Paris, France. John was the 8th of 16 children of Mathew Coubrough and Elizabeth Brown, of Ogema, Saskatchewan. He was one of four brothers who served overseas. John and his next younger brother, Simon Peter, did not come home, but the other two did. John was 5' 7" tall, and had dark brown hair and grey eyes.

John Brown Coubrough, photo taken about 1917, possibly in Paris, France. John was the 8th of 16 children of Mathew Coubrough and Elizabeth Brown, of Ogema, Saskatchewan. CIMETIÈRE BRITANNIQUE DU BOIS DE HANGARD Somme, France
Hangard est un village du département de la Somme situé dans la vallée de la Luce, entre Domart et Demuin. À partir du village, la route qui mène à Villers-Bretonneux se dirige plein nord sur un versant de colline abrupt. Un mille plus loin, la route passe entre deux parties du bois de Hangard. Le cimetière britannique du bois de Hangard se trouve à cet endroit, en bordure de route.
