Wallace Scott McCullough, enlisted as a Private with the 117th Battalion and went overseas in August 1916. He was held in England until Jan. 1917. He was promoted to sergeant in the 117th, but with thirteen other non commissioned officers he reverted to private and joined the 24th Battalion in France. He soon regained his promotion in France however.
Sergeant McCullough was killed in action at Vimy Ridge on April 9th 1917.

CIMETIÈRE MILITAIRE DE NINE ELMS(France) Pas de Calais, France
Thélus est un village à 6,5 kilomètres environ au nord d'Arras et à un kilomètre à l'est de la route principale qui mène d'Arras à Lens. Le cimetière est du côté ouest de la route principale et à 1,5 kilomètre environ au sud du village.
