46480 Private Arthur William Fox , originally of the 17th Battalion, was captured at St Julien during the gas attack at 2nd Ypres on April 24, 1915 attack while serving in No. 4 Company, 15th Battalion (48th Highlanders). Like many of the 15th Battalion POWs from that battle he was initially interned at Gottingen POW camp in Germany where this photograph was taken.
