Soldat William Frederick Yardley
William is my grandmother's Louise Yardley Hook's brother. The family emigrated from Bromley, Kent, United Kingdom to Canada. During WW1, her husband Tom Hook and her two brothers, William and Robert Yardley enlisted with the 155th Battalion Eastern Ontario and returned to defend mother England. All three were killed in action.
Attached article is from local newspaper in Picton Ontario with parts from letters to his mother Sarah Yardley.
