Book of Remembrance - World War Two
The two volumes of the Book of Remembrance of the City of London, Ontario, Canada include the names - and in some instances the photographs - of those in London and the London area who died as a result of active service during World War Two (1939 to 1945).

The first volume was compiled in the spring of 1949 by a group of mothers, referred to as the Memorial Cross Mothers, London, Ontario, who had lost sons during World War Two. On May 27, 1950 there was a private showing of the Book of Remembrance to the families of the 513 men who died during the war and the dedication of the Book of Remembrance was held at the Public Library on September 27, 1950.

The second volume of the Book of Remembrance was compiled in 1998 by Vimy Branch 145, Royal Canadian Legion in order to provide more information and add the names of those omitted in the first volume. This volume was presented to the City of London on Remembrance Day, November 11, 1999.
