Flight Sub Lieutenant Ford Stuart Strathy is remembered on this brass Memorial Tablet. It was unveiled on May 1, 1921 in memory of Upper Canada College students who died on active service during the First World War. Upper Canada College is located in Toronto, Ontario.

Ford Strathy came to Appleby in 1911. From the school history "The Appleby Story", "Strathy, a pilot, brought down his first German plane in a dog fight in the early morning of August 15, 1915. In a letter home to his mother; he described with pride the intricate maneuvering that the air battle called for." "On August 17, he took off on another mission, flying his familiar Camel. An hour later, two German planes attacked him. One came in from the front, the other dogged his tail. A hail of bullets caught Strathy's plane. The Camel fell from the sky and took Strathy to his death."

St. Thomas (Anglican) Church, Huron St., Toronto, Ontario. The octagonal
Baptistry (1917) houses a central baptismal font, and also serves as a World
War One memorial for the war dead of this parish. The room includes stained
glass windows by the Bromsgrove Guild. These show images of medieval
knights, St. Michael the Archangel and St. George, and a wounded soldier in
a circa 1914-1918 military uniform standing among red poppies. Individually
inscribed wooden war memorial panels line the walls. Each panel includes
the name of a war casualty in gilt lettering with rank, unit and date of
death.

CIMETIÈRE MILITAIRE DE LA ROUTE DE RAMSCAPELLE Belgique
Le cimetière militaire de la route de Ramscapelle est situé à 2 kilomètres à l'est de Nieuport, sur la route N367 qui mène de Nieuport à Sint-Joris.
À partir du centre-ville de Nieuport, suivez la Willem Deroolaan sur 500 mètres, et prenez ensuite la Brugsesteenweg (N367). Le cimetière se trouve à un kilomètre, à l'intersection de cette route et de la Ramskapellestraat (N365).
