Enlisted October 1939, and trained as a Pilot. He served with #135 Squadron in British Columbia. When posted to England, he flew with #439 City of Westmount Squadron. While based in Holland he was ordered to attack fortified positions ahead of the advancing armies. On December 24, 1944 his Typhoon fighter-bomber was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed.

CIMETIÈRE DE GUERRE D'HOTTON Belgique
Le CIMETIÈRE DE GUERRE D'HOTTON est situé à 58 km au sud-est de Namur. De Namur, la N4 mène à la ville de Marche-en-Famenne. À l'arrivée de Marche-en-Famenne, la N86 se dirige vers Hotton. Une fois à Hotton, le cimetière est situé à 500 mètres sur la N86 en allant vers Menil.
