Flight Sergeant Donald Cole Lindsey
Four Canadian service members are buried at the Old Weston Cemetery. The four airmen;
Donald Cole Lindsey,
Robert Joseph O'Leary,
Norman George Wood, and
Robert Charles Dobie
died when their bomber crashed after it struck the top of the spire of Weston Church. The Bomber was attempting to make it to nearby RAF Molesworth.
The damaged part of the spire was replaced with new stone which is why the top of the spire is a lighter shade than the rest of the church as can be seen in this photo taken in 2008.
The grave markers of the four Canadian airmen are visible on the far right side of the photo.
