Cemetery
Four Canadian service members are buried at the Old Weston Cemetery. The four airmen; Donald Cole Lindsey, Robert Joseph O'Leary, Norman George Wood, and Robert Charles Dobie died when their bomber crashed after it struck the top of the spire of Weston Church. The Bomber was attempting to make it to nearby RAF Molesworth. The damaged part of the spire was replaced with new stone which is why the top of the spire is a lighter shade than the rest of the church as can be seen in this photo taken in 2008. The grave markers of the four Canadian airmen are visible on the far right side of the photo. -

Grave Marker of Donald Cole Lindsey at Old Weston Church Cemetery which is located in the village of Old Weston,Cambridgeshire, England. Flight Sergeant Lindsey died during WWII when his Bomber crashed while attempting to land at nearby RAF Molesworth. The bomber hit the top of the spire of the Old Weston Church and crashed in a nearby field. Sergeant Lindsey and the other three members of the bomber's crew were buried together at the Old Weston Church Cemetery. His Grave Marker Reads: R.69761 FLIGHT SERGEANT D.C. LINDSEY Wireless Operator/Air Gunner Royal Canadian Air Force 26th March 1942 Age 20 Dearly beloved son of Fanny Lindsy -
