Grave of the Downer family and that of
Driver & Cadet 339577 & 70420 Harry Albert Downer who served with the 68th Field Battery Canadian Field Artillery C.E.F. and larer with the Royal Flying Corps 42nd Wing.
He was born in Vancouver BC on Dec. 17th 1897. He first enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Feb. 24th 1917 listing his occupation as "Law Student" he was later sent to the Royal Flying Corps for trainng as a flying officer. He was killed in a training accident on Sept. 14th 1917 at the age of 19. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
