Artilleur Harold Clifford Kerr
On the Anniversary of Vimy Ridge (Harold fought at Vimy) I found his ID plate online on a French WW1 Forum. I hold Harold's Victory Medal although the ribbon on it is actually for the British War Medal he was also awarded. I am hoping to find the family member(s) who uploaded Harold's war photos so that we can make contact. Proud of this forever-young, brave man.

Harold Clifford Kerr's British War Medal (held by D.Kerr) and Victory Medal (held by C.Kerr - the ribbons swapped by our Great Grandmother perhaps); uniform buttons and badges; hat badge. This photo was taken on 8 May 2017. It is the first time in 75yrs at least that the two war medals have been together. ID Plate (dog tag) found in 2007 in France and sent to CKerr in April 2017. The discovery of the ID Plate led to the Australian Broadcast Corporation and the Canadian Broadcast Corporation covering the story. The story led to descendants of the Kerr family 'locating' each other via the internet.

From an old Kerr family album...date inscribed next to this photo is 1917.

A nicer "studio" portrait of Harold before going overseas. The obiturary pasted here is from some unknown source. We always heard he died in a counter-barrage near Amiens, France. Arthur was his older brother and owned this album.
