Jane Hicks is currently the Acting Assistant Deputy Minister for the Service Delivery Branch. She recently joined this team from her previous role as Director General of Service Delivery and Program Management (SDPM), where she led a dedicated team responsible for the Rehabilitation, Financial, Wellness, and Health Care programs, as well as Transition and Veteran Employment and My VAC Account.
Prior to her work in SDPM, Jane worked in the Centralized Operations Division, where she served as Senior Director of Strategic Wait Time Initiatives. In this role, she was responsible for planning and implementing a series of initiatives to reduce disability benefit wait times. Before that, she was Senior Director and subsequently Acting Director General, responsible for the implementation of the Pension for Life Project, one of the Department’s most significant projects in recent years.
Jane has many years of experience with the Department, having worked at the local, regional, national, and international levels across a number of disciplines. She has a particular interest in the service delivery and the provision of benefits and services to Veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, and their families. Jane is a graduate of the Canadian Forces College National Security Program in Toronto.
