This memorial was dedicated in 1978, in memory of the war dead of Malton. On Saturday, November 4th, 1978, the Cenotaph Committee of the Malton Branch 528 of the Royal Canadian Legion unveiled this monument dedicated to the war dead of Malton and surrounding areas.
