Central Technical School,.which was formerly known as Toronto Technical School, has a war memorial sculpture by Alfred Howell. Howell was the first art director of the Central Technical School, which opened the year after the start of the Great War. The war memorial honours alumni who served and in particular died in service. 

The memorial was rededicated in 2015 as part of the school's centenary celebrations.
