It is not known when the First World War Tablet was unveiled at Central Methodist Church. The name Central Methodist Church was adopted in 1865 and in 1925 the congregation merged with Westminster Presbyterian Church to become Westminster-Central United Church. In 1950, Old St. Andrew's United and Westminster-Central United merged to form St. Andrew's United Church at the present site on Bloor Street.
