The National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials is a public, crowd-sourced registry that helps Canadians learn about memorials in their communities. In 2004, the Sutton Royal Canadian Legion created a mural to respect Veterans and different sections of the military. They commissioned a new mural in 2019.
Mrs. Anne Wilson from Keswick uncovered a photograph of her son, Warrant Officer Robert Wilson, killed in action in Afghanistan in 2008. Mrs. Bulmer unveiled a photograph of her late husband, Major Max Bulmer, who served as a minister to Canadian Forces in Europe after the Second World War. Poppies grace the bottom of the mural.
