The Parkdale Monument is located approximately 12 miles west of Glaslyn. It was constructed in 1922 in memory of those who died in the First World War. The original Monument was destroyed while rebuilding a road several years ago. The picture above is that of the replacement of the original Monument, which was a replica of the Glaslyn Monument. The plaque which bear the names of all the veterans who did not return from the war was lost when the Monument was rebuilt.
