This plaque is part of a campaign started in 2020 by the Royal United Services Institute of Regina, a local organization of civilians and retired military personnel, to install a series of twelve commemorative plaques around the cenotaph. It was unveiled on July 27, 2021. The plaques explain Canada's wartime history.

The Korean War Plaque commemorates the more than 26,000 Canadians who served on land, at sea and in the air during this bitter conflict. Sadly, 516 Canadians died. Long seen as a forgotten war, the Korean War is now recognized as an important chapter in Canada's military history.
