Notice:

The National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials is a public, crowd-sourced registry that helps Canadians learn about memorials in their communities. Inclusion in the Inventory does not imply VAC ownership or authority. Responsibility for the care, management, and any changes to a memorial rests with its owning or governing organization.

The beautiful cenotaph, designed by retired RCMP Officer Richard Hessler, honours the Canadians who fought for our country and make our freedom possible. Emblems of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services are displayed, as well as the images of those who fought in wars and peacekeeping operations. The cenotaph was dedicated by Her Honour, the Honourable Lois Mitchell, CM, AOE, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta on November 6, 2015.
