This memorial was erected as the sign for the British Empire Service League Memorial Hall (the current Royal Canadian Legion branch) in 1928. The three flags flown are the Red Ensign (used by the Canadian Army), the Royal Canadian Navy ensign and the Royal Canadian Air Force ensign.
