These murals were painted by Mr. Doug Driediger in 1993 through the sponsorship of Mr. Duncan Scott, Let's Talk Travel and CTAP - Alberta Lotteries. They are dedicated to the memory of High River Station, a Royal Canadian Air Force post from 1921 to 1931.

High River Station, 1921 - 1931 was a testing unit, fire patrol and mountain survey, providing many "firsts" in Canadian flying history. Carrier pigeons were used from station to station until Canada's first ground to air communications was established.
